New Assignment

Those of you that attended Sunday's study were told to read chapters 5, 6, and 7. After much thought and discussion, I have decided to camp out one more week on chapters 4 and 5. So your assignment for this week is to re-read chapters 4 and 5. Also I would like for you to read all the scriptures you can find on the Holy Spirit. The book of Acts is a great place to start. The appendix in our book also has many scriptures already lined out for you. I encourage you to read them and then pray. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart and reveal His Truth. I would like for each of you to send me a question. You can send it anonymously if you wish. Myself and the other group leaders have decided to not break out into small groups this next week. We will remain together and I will help answer some of your questions. But I would love this week to read over your questions and study them. So please don't be shy. Anything goes. We are going to learn and we are going to grow. If finishing the book takes us longer than planned, then we will cross that bridge when we get there. I don't want to rush you or God. So let's slow down and really soak in the information we are reading. I would also recommend you take the time to read Tonia's blog. Her last 3 posts will be very beneficial to you. Just go to the right of the screen and click on Scribe Life. I love you all and I am so excited to see what God is going to do in each of us.

  2. Doesn't the Holy Spirit draw you to Jesus? Don't we receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus?

  3. Great question anonymous and Yes you do receive the Holy Spirit when you accept Jesus. It is the HS that draws you to Jesus. But it is one thing to have the HS and to be filled with the HS. I will explain more on Sunday. Tonia also gives some insight on this in Chapters 4 & 5.
    Keep questions coming!

  6. I was thinking the exact same thing this morning when I woke up! Heather, it is so obvious that you studied, prayed, and just allowed the Holy Spirit to speak through you in a way that made everyone comprehend. You simplified it and it was very easy to digest! You are truly a blessing in my life, and the lives of anyone who knows you!

    Love, Bethany

  7. Jennifer and Bethany,

I appreciate your encouraging words. I am so passionate about this subject and I have no doubt that God is doing something in this group. I am humbled to think that the Creator of the Universe can and does use me. I just want all that He has to offer and I pray the same for each of you. I am hearing testimonies on a daily basis. This book is fanning the flame inside so many hearts. Bethany, thank you for being obedient and sharing Tonia and her words with all of us. I love all you girls.

    Blessed to be His,
    Heather

  8. When I was reading chapter 7, I was in bed sick and I could not really remember the chapter, but I remembered there was something in it that hung on to me. This week I went back and read it again. I love page 90 and 91 reading about the responsibilities’ of being a wife and mother. I have been teaching my children several prayers, one for leaving for the day, one for when they eat and going to bed. Emilie has even begun praying making her own words and it is the sweetest sound even when she does not make total sense, it makes me smile because I know she is learning to love the Lord. As I re-read this chapter it made me think of Matthew 6. All these little prayers are great, but I realized they really needed to learn The Lords Prayer. I know the Holy Spirit is leading me to this because of the tugging I feel and I love that. I hope I am learning to listen because I am really hard headed and I want to hear Him so bad…
